Gazipur:A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon at a garment warehouse belonging to Matrix Styles Limited in Gazipur and was brought under control after more than three hours of efforts.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the fire started around 245 p.m. Nine firefighting units from Bhogra, Joydebpur, and other nearby stations responded promptly and managed to control the blaze by around 6 p.m.
Firefighters successfully rescued approximately 70 people trapped on the roof of the seven-story building using a Turntable Ladder (TTL). Despite the panic among those trapped, there were no reported casualties.
Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Saidul Islam Chowdhury stated that the cause of the fire and the financial losses incurred would be determined following a detailed investigation.
