Police Recover 11 Crude Bombs in Chapainawabganj Amid Local Tensions

Chapainawabganj:Police recovered 11 live crude bombs from Kabirajpara in Moharajpur onion of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila following the explosions of two others in the area earlier in the morning.

According to United News of Bangladesh, tension had been prevailing for several days between two groups in the villages of Kabirajpara and Sheikhpara over control of the area. This tension culminated in the explosion of two crude bombs at Kabirajpara on Friday morning, prompting police to conduct an operation in which they recovered the 11 unexploded bombs.

Locals indicated that supporters of local residents Abdul Wadud and Jalal Uddin have been engaged in a long-standing dispute, which has recently intensified. They alleged that the bombs were stockpiled to be used in potential clashes related to this dispute.

Officer-in-Charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station, Ekramul Hossain, stated that police responded promptly after receiving information about the explosions and successfully recovered the bombs. He assured that efforts were being made to maintain law and order in the area, and noted that the situation was largely calm.
