Tokyo:A Bangladesh Healthcare Business Seminar was held at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on cooperation, investment, and technological partnerships between Bangladesh and Japan in the healthcare sector.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Attendees included members of Japanese business organizations, investors, and representatives from the healthcare sector.
A video message from State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhit was presented, highlighting the measures taken by the current government to enhance healthcare services in Bangladesh. He emphasized the importance of Japanese cooperation and technological partnership in achieving universal health coverage and modernizing the healthcare sector.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Daud Ali expressed gratitude for Japan's ongoing support in various healthcare initiatives. He noted the increasing demand in Bangladesh for specialized healthcare, modern hospital infrastructure, and skilled human resources, inviting Japanese investment in these areas as well as in the pharmaceutical industry.
Additional presentations were made by Shah Imam Ali Reza and Professor Dr. Pravath Chandra Biswas, highlighting the current state and prospects of Bangladesh's healthcare sector. Discussions were also led by JICA and JETRO officials, focusing on cooperation and investment opportunities.
Nao Nitta from Euglena Co., Ltd. shared insights into the company's business experiences in Bangladesh. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session and a networking opportunity for participants.
