Dhaka:All posters and leaflets have been successfully removed from the metro rail pillars in the Shewrapara-Mirpur-10 area within the designated 72-hour period, as directed by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the cleaning operation was executed by members of the pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, following instructions from DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan. The operation was conducted throughout the day, starting at approximately 10 am in the Mirpur-10 area before moving to the Shewrapara metro rail area, where the task was completed.
Local pedestrians observed that the roads beneath the metro rail and the surrounding areas appeared cleaner after the operation. This initiative is part of a broader weekly cleaning program that was inaugurated by Md Shafiqul Islam Khan on Saturday at the Shewrapara metro rail area. He had instructed the relevant authorities to remove all posters and leaflets from the metro rail pillars and adjacent areas within 72 hours.
