New York:State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir has met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting took place on September 25, where both sides explored ways to enhance the Bangladesh-Turkey partnership. Discussions covered high-level exchanges, defense cooperation, renewable and green energy initiatives, and investment opportunities for Turkish companies in Bangladesh.
The ministers also shared perspectives on the upcoming COP31 conference, which Turkey will host in Antalya from November 9-20, including the anticipated participation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Additionally, Kobir extended an invitation to Turkey to join the International Sports Conference that Bangladesh will host in early 2027. Both parties affirmed their dedication to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
