Dhaka: Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has left the country today to join Guyana Amazon Warriors for the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Miraz confirmed his departure in a post on his official Facebook page after boarding his flight. "Off to the CPL for a new challenge. Ready to embrace the Caribbean Journey with Guyana Amazon Warriors," he wrote in his verified Facebook post.
Guyana Amazon Warriors brought Miraz into their squad as a replacement for Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi midway through the tournament. Miraz was previously picked by Trinbago Knight Riders in 2017 but did not feature in a match during that stint.
He will join a squad featuring several established international cricketers like Imran Tahir, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Glenn Phillips, and Romario Shepherd.
