Godagari: Two college students were killed in a road accident in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi when their motorcycle was hit by a truck and they were subsequently crushed under the wheels of another vehicle.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased were Ahsan Ahmed Hasib, 20, son of Abdul Hamid of Baliyaghata area in Godagari, and Sabbir Ahmed, 20, son of Enamul Haque of the same area. Both were first-year honours students at Chapainawabganj Government College.
Police reported that Hasib and Sabbir were travelling by motorcycle on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway through the Kashimpur area around noon. As they reached Kashimpur Bend, a speeding truck from behind hit their motorcycle, causing them to fall onto the road, where they were crushed under the wheels of another vehicle. They died on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.
