Dhaka: Prime Minister's Adviser on Public Administration Affairs Md Ismail Zabihullah today declared that the government will not tolerate 'mob culture' in the country. "We can assure you that no such mob culture will be tolerated. The country will run according to the law, and we will enforce it, InshaAllah," Zabihullah emphasized in response to a query during a view-exchange meeting marking 180 days of the current government at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon this noon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Zabihullah highlighted that mob culture is undesirable whenever it occurs and should never be allowed to take place. He noted, "There is no mob culture like the one that existed in the final days of the interim government." Supporting Zabihullah's statement, Prime Minister's Political Adviser Md Ruhul Kabir Rizvi remarked that the prevalence of mob culture had decreased significantly, attributing its emergence to political support and implicit political influence. Rizvi added, "The stronger the rule of law became, the more mob culture would decline."
During the meeting, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Spokesperson Mahdi Amin detailed the government's activities and achievements over its first 180 days. The event was chaired by Prime Minister's Press Secretary AAM Saleh Shibly and included remarks from Prime Minister's advisers Nazrul Islam Khan, Md Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, and Md Ismail Zabihullah, as well as Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon, Prime Minister's Adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman, and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
The ministers and advisers addressed various questions from journalists, with several other key government figures in attendance, including State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, and Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Health Affairs S M Ziauddin Hyder. Also present were SDG Chief Coordinator Professor SM Abdul Awal, Prime Minister's Political Assistant Rashed Khan, and Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, among others.
