Judges, Lawyers Conduct Thorough Inspection of RAB’s TFI Cell

Dhaka: Judges of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1, along with members of the prosecution team and defense lawyers, conducted an inspection of the TFI Taskforce for Interrogation Cell at the RAB-1 headquarters in the city's Uttara area today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inspection commenced shortly after 11am. The Chairman of ICT-1, Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder, led the visit, accompanied by tribunal members Justice Md. Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Justice Md. Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury. Chief Prosecutor Md. Aminul Islam was also present with the delegation.

During the inspection, the delegation thoroughly examined all 29 secret chambers within the TFI Cell. Their visit was marked by the presence of ICT Prosecutors Mizanul Islam, Gazi M H Tamim, Faruk Ahmad, Shaikh Mahdi, Shahidul Islam Sardar, and Tasmirul Islam. Defense lawyers, including Sanjida Islam Tuli, MP, and human rights activist Nur Khan Liton, were present as well. Journalists and representatives from Mayer Dak, an organization advocating for families of enforced disappearance victims, also accompanied the group.
