Thakurgaon: Thakurgaon University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Md Israfil Shaheen today expressed his vision to transform the university into a standard and exceptional institution with the cooperation of all stakeholders.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the VC emphasized the importance of integrating education with various activities that highlight local culture, traditions, heritage, and the region’s challenges and opportunities. He believes that by doing so, the university can become an attractive destination for people nationwide. Prof Dr. Md Israfil Shaheen made these remarks during a reception ceremony for meritorious students at Pirganj Government College.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including Zahidur Rahman, MP for the Thakurgaon-3 constituency, Pirganj Government College Principal Prof Badrul Huda, ex-principal Krishna Mohan Roy, Vice-Principal Prof Ekramul Haque, General Secretary of Pirganj Upazila BNP Ziaul Islam Zia, and President of Pirganj Press Club Zainal Abedin Babul. During the ceremony, honors were conferred on both VC Prof Dr. Md Israfil Shaheen and MP Zahidur Rahman by the college authorities.
