Jhalakathi: A trolley helper lost his life in a road accident at Galua Bazar on the Rajapur-Bhandaria highway in Rajapur upazila early Sunday morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased has been identified as Tanvir Islam, 18, son of the late Abdul Haque, from Dakshin Pipolita area in Jhalakathi Sadar upazila. The tragic incident occurred around 1:00 am when a brick-laden trolley lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch. The driver’s inability to maintain control of the vehicle resulted in severe injuries to Tanvir, who was the trolley’s helper.
He was swiftly transported to the Rajapur Upazila Health Complex, but despite efforts, the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Officer-in-Charge of Nalchiti Police Station, Sujan Biswas, confirmed the incident, providing further insights into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
