New Director Generals Appointed to Key State Departments

Dhaka: The government has appointed new Director Generals (DGs) to several departments of the state. The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications today regarding these appointments.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khondokar Anwar Hossain, previously a Director at the Office of the Divisional Commissioner in Barishal, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Institute of Youth Development. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, formerly the Director of the Department of Disaster Management, has been named the Director General of the National Freedom Fighter Council.



Md. Jashim Uddin Khan, who served as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the Director General of the Directorate General of Food. S.M. Arif Pasha, also an Additional Secretary but from the Ministry of Land, has been made the Director General of the Department of Agricultural Marketing.



Kazi Md. Saiful Islam, another Additional Secretary from the Ministry of Home Affairs, has taken on the role of Director General of the Bureau of Non-Formal Education. Asaduzzaman, previously the Director of the Directorate of Government Accommodation, has been appointed as the Director General of the Wage Earners’ Welfare Board.



Furthermore, Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman, who was an Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, now serves as the Director General of the Department of Environment. Finally, Dil Afroza, an Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, has been named the Director General of the Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery.
