Paturia: Ferry operations between Paturia-Daulatdia have been suspended due to Kalbaishakhi and strong winds since 4:40 pm, according to sources at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager Abdus Salam stated that for the safety of vehicles and passengers, the ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia has been halted since 4:40 pm. He noted that three ferries are currently waiting at Paturia Ghat and seven at Daulatdia Ghat.
He further mentioned that the ferry operations will resume once the weather conditions become favorable.
