Langadu: Bangladesh Army has distributed corrugated iron sheets among five underprivileged families in Langadu upazila of the district as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts. Major Shahriar and Major Shaheen handed over the materials on behalf of the Zone Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mir Morshed, this morning at Longadu Zone headquarters under a harmony and development programme organized by the Langadu Upazila Zone.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative is part of the army’s broader mission to foster development and maintain peace in the hilly region. Speaking at the event, Major Shahriar highlighted that the Langadu Zone has been carrying out various humanitarian and developmental initiatives alongside maintaining law and order to ensure peace, harmony, and stability.
“As part of these efforts, corrugated iron sheets have been provided to support helpless and poor families in building their homes,” Major Shahriar stated. He further assured that such humanitarian, social, and development activities would continue in the future for the welfare of local residents.
