HSC Exam Schedule Announced with Special Instructions

Dhaka: Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee today published the schedule for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the exams will begin on July 2 and continue until August. Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee and Examination Controller of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this information.



According to the exam routine, the HSC exams will commence on July 2 at 10:00 AM with the compulsory Bengali first paper exam. Morning exams will run until 1:00 PM, while afternoon exams will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The theoretical exams will continue until August 8, and practical exams for all subjects must be completed by August 15.



The Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee has provided special instructions for examinees regarding exam conduct and mark distribution. Exams will be held continuously for the time specified on the question paper, with no break between the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Creative Question (CQ) sections. The schedule specifies 30 minutes for the 30-mark MCQ section and 2 hours and 30 minutes for the 70-mark CQ section. For subjects involving practical exams, 25 minutes will be allotted for the 25-mark MCQ section and 2 hours and 35 minutes for the 50-mark CQ section.



Examinees must take their seats in the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. While standard scientific calculators are allowed, programmable calculators and mobile phones are not permitted at the exam center. Each examinee must pass the theoretical, multiple-choice, and practical parts separately. Admission cards can be collected from respective educational institutions at least 7 days before the exams begin.
