Cumilla: Bashundhara Kings registered their first win in the Federation Cup Football by defeating Arambagh Krira Sangha 5-0 at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium. The match, held today, marked the resumption of the tournament after a three-week break.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes led the charge for Bashundhara Kings with two goals. He was supported by forward Mohammad Faysal Ahmed Fahim, Nigerian forward Emmanuel Sunday, and midfielder Md Sohel Rana, each contributing a goal for the team. The Kings finished the first half with a 2-0 lead.
Dorielton opened the scoring in the 16th minute, setting the pace for the match. Fahim extended the lead with a second goal in the 22nd minute. After halftime, Sunday secured the third goal in the 52nd minute, followed quickly by Dorielton’s second goal, bringing the score to 4-0 in the 55th minute.
Md Sohel Rana sealed the victory by scoring the fifth and final goal in the 67th minute. This victory elevated Bashundhara Kings’ tally to five points from three matches, while Arambagh Krira Sangha remains without points after the same number of games.
