Rangpur: The festive atmosphere of Eid is prevailing on the third day of the Holy Eid-ul-Fitr, as thousands of people across Rangpur division are flocking en-masse to entertainment and tourist centers for joy. For the past three days, a huge crowd of people has been seen at entertainment, amusement, and tourist centers all over Rangpur division to enjoy this joyful festival and their Eid vacations. Maintaining the festive mood from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr till today, people of all ages, especially youth, teenagers, and young women, are flocking to these places in colorful clothes, due to which the places have become crowded.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, thousands of people are visiting popular locations such as ‘Proyas’ Entertainment Park on the banks of the Ghagot River in Rangpur city, Fantasy Zone, Tajhat Zamindar’s Palace, Chikley Lake Water Park, Rangpur Zoo Children’s Park, ‘Survi Udyan’, ‘Rupkotha Theme Park’, Town Hall premises, Zila School ground, Begum Rokeya University campus and other entertainment centers. Outside the city, people are flocking to recreational spots like Ganjipur Vinnojogot Entertainment Center, Anandanagar Park in Pirganj upazila, Maya Bhuban in Badarganj, Teesta Park in Kawnia, among others.
Similarly, countless individuals are thronging to ‘Shopnopuri Artificial Amusement Park’, ‘Kantzeu Mandir’, ‘Ramsagar’, Dinajpur Rajbari’, and ‘Gore Shahid Eidgah Maidan’ in Dinajpur, ‘Neelsagar’ and Teesta Barrage Project in Nilphamari, and several other attractions in the surrounding areas. The eight districts of Rangpur division have all been decked out to attract tourists, complete with security measures and temporary fairs selling handicrafts, food, and toys.
Hundreds of visitors are enjoying the natural beauty at Chikley Lake Water Park in Rangpur city. School and college students expressed their excitement at visiting the city’s entertainment centers. University students shared their experiences of traveling by speedboat at Chikley Lake, while other visitors enjoyed the Teesta Bridge and the natural scenery.
Couples and families visiting various parks and centers spoke about their enjoyment of the recreational facilities and natural beauty, with some enjoying rides and observing wildlife at Rangpur Zoo Children’s Park. Educationist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam noted the historical significance of such gatherings during Eid and other festivals, highlighting the growing cultural need for entertainment.
