Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Thursday called on all political and social organisations, regardless of party affiliation, to work together for the sake of peace, order, and national development. He made the remarks during a meeting with senior law enforcement officials in Dhaka.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Dr Shafiqur emphasized the importance of law enforcement agencies in protecting lives and property and in establishing a just society. He stated that law enforcement must earn public trust and play a more people-friendly and effective role.
The meeting was attended by Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem, an MP from Dhaka-14, and Abdul Baten, MP from Dhaka-16. They highlighted the necessity of coordinated efforts to reduce crime while continuing development work in the area.
Law enforcement officials at the meeting sought public cooperation and provided briefings on the ongoing special operations and awareness programmes.
