Natore: A Natore court on Thursday convicted two individuals, sentencing them to life imprisonment for the murder of a young man in 2014, attributed to previous enmity.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the verdict was delivered by Natore Additional District and Session Judge Md Delwar Hossain. The individuals sentenced are Masud Rana and Mizanur Rahman. Alongside the life sentences, the court imposed a fine of Tk 10 lakh on each convict. Failure to pay this fine will result in an additional three years of rigorous imprisonment.
The prosecution detailed that the convicts were responsible for the death of Abdul Kahar, the son of Abdur Rashid from Borogram in Singra upazila, due to longstanding hostilities. Following the murder, a case was filed with Singra Police Station, leading to the submission of a chargesheet against the individuals involved.
