BNP’s Hamidur Rahman Wins Dhaka-7

Dhaka: BNP candidate Hamidur Rahman has been elected from the Dhaka-7 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election. He secured 1,04,66 votes while his nearest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Enayet Ullah, received 98,483 votes.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the referendum, 1,23,664 people cast 'Yes' votes and 39,358 others cast 'No' votes in the constituency. The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
