Dhaka: BNP candidate M Manjurul Karim Roni has been elected unofficially from Gazipur-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election. He secured a total of 188,606 votes, surpassing his nearest competitor, NCP candidate Ali Naser Khan, who garnered 140,950 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the referendum saw 255,667 voters casting 'Yes' votes, while 84,976 others opted for 'No' votes in this constituency. The results were made public at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre located at Nirbachan Bhaban, Agargaon in the capital.
