BNP Candidate Tomij Uddin Unofficially Claims Victory in Dhaka-20

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Tomij Uddin has unofficially won the parliamentary race for the Dhaka-20 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tomij Uddin secured a total of 1,62,504 votes, significantly outpacing his closest competitor, National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Nabila Tasnid, who received 57,787 votes.



The election results were announced during a formal briefing held at the Referendum and 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election 2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre, located at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka. The announcement marks another significant moment in the country’s political landscape as the BNP seeks to strengthen its presence in the national parliament.
