EICT 2025 Concludes Successfully at KUET

Khulna: A three-day international conference, the 7th International Conference on Electrical, Information and Communication Technology (EICT 2025), concluded at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) at the Teachers’ Auditorium of the university guest house.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the conference was organized by the university’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department, bringing together researchers, engineers, and academics from various countries. The event was inaugurated by M. Farhadul Islam, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Intergovernmental Organizations and Consular Affairs), who addressed the program as the chief guest. Prof Dr Md Maksud Helali, Vice-Chancellor of KUET, served as the chief patron of the conference. The event was presided over by Conference Chair and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Islam.



The conference, which began on December 18, concentrated on recent developments and challenges in electrical, information, and communication technology. Researchers and engineers from different countries presented their latest research findings during the sessions. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) technically co-sponsored the event.



Speakers at the closing session emphasized the significance of international conferences in facilitating knowledge exchange and addressing the challenges posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The program concluded with the presentation of the Fatema Rashid Best Paper Award and IEEE Best Paper Award to authors of outstanding research papers.



The conference featured discussions on modern research trends, challenges, and prospects in the electrical and ICT sectors. A total of 142 technical papers, selected from 1,042 submissions across 15 countries, were presented in 25 technical sessions. Participants included researchers, teachers, renowned engineers, and technologists from the United States, France, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, and Bangladesh.
