Dhaka: The European Union (EU) Mission in Bangladesh today expressed deep sorrow over the death of youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, extending sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those affected. “We are deeply saddened by the death of Sharif Osman Hadi and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those affected,” the EU Mission said in a message.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the message adds to growing international expressions of condolence following Hadi’s death, which has sparked widespread mourning across Bangladesh. Sharif Osman Hadi, 32, was shot last week in Dhaka and passed away on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
