Jashore: Host Jashore district team defeated Patuakhali district team 2-0 in the opening final round match of the Aparajeyo Alo Women's Hockey tournament held at Jessore venue today. Swarna and Marufa Akter contributed to Jashore's win by scoring in the 1st and 13th minutes respectively.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in another match, Cumilla district team triumphed over Chattogram district team with a 4-0 scoreline at the Cumilla venue. Maksuda was instrumental for Cumilla, scoring twice in the 2nd and 53rd minutes. Jonaki and Sanjida added to the tally with goals in the 5th and 35th minutes.
