Dhaka: Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves have reached US$ 31.11 billion.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the latest data released by the Bangladesh Bank indicates that, based on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology under the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6), the reserves are recorded at $26.41 billion.
This discrepancy between the two figures highlights different accounting practices and international standards used in calculating foreign exchange reserves.
