C'nawabganj: A man was killed and another injured in a road accident at Karbala intersection under Shibganj upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Monglu Ali, 60, son of late Kashimuddin of Mardana village in Chatrajitpur union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 8 am when a trolley collided head-on with a motorcycle. As a result, trolley driver Monglu Ali was killed on the spot, and the bike rider was injured.
The injured individual was transported to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he remains in critical condition. Officer-in-Charge of Shibganj Police Station Md. Golam Kibria confirmed the incident.
