Dhaka: Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has called for strict measures against terrorists, extortionists, and political miscreants to maintain peace and stability in the country. Speaking at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club, Central President Zahidul Islam emphasized the organization's commitment to upholding Islamic values and the ideals of the July revolution. He warned that students and the public would resist any attempts to disrupt law and order.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shibir leaders criticized the slow trials of banned Awami League leaders and activists. They also condemned recent violent acts, including arson attacks on over 15 buses, stating that such activities spread panic among the public.
The press briefing was attended by Secretary General Nurul Islam Saddam, central office secretary Sibgatullah, publicity secretary Azizur Rahman Azad, and other leaders.
