Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the weather may remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky across the country over the next 24 hours, starting at 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a BMD bulletin issued this morning indicated that light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the Chattogram division. For the rest of the country, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky. The meteorological office also predicted that both day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across Bangladesh.
Furthermore, a seasonal low-pressure area lies over the South Bay, with its trough extending to the North Bay. The southwest monsoon has already withdrawn from the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and is likely to retreat from the rest of the country within the next 72 hours.
On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded was 34 degrees Celsius in Feni and Netrokona, while the lowest temperature today was 22 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi. In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:35 pm today and rise at 5:56 am tomorrow.
