40,000 Pieces of Yaba Seized in Cumilla

Cumilla: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 40,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Taka 1.20 crore from the border area of Cumilla district early this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a BGB team from Golabari Post of Bibirbazar BOP in Adarsh Sadar Upazila conducted a drive in the Keraninagar border area around 2:30 am and seized the illegal Indian Yaba pills. This operation was confirmed by Cumilla BGB-10 Battalion commander, Lt. Col. Mir Ali Ejaz, on Sunday afternoon.

The estimated market value of the seized pills is approximately Taka 1.20 crore. Lt. Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz emphasized that the Cumilla Battalion is committed to protecting the integrity and sovereignty of the country in the border area under its jurisdiction. The battalion is actively working to prevent cross-border crime, smuggling, and drug trafficking.
