Banglafact: BanglaFact, media and fact-check wing of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has said a vested quarter is misrepresenting Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus' stance about lifting the ban on fallen fascist Awami League.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser did not say the ban on AL's activities will be lifted 'any time'. Rather, he stated that the party won't be allowed to take part in the election until there is a ban on its activities as decided in the advisory council meeting earlier.

According to that decision, every kind of activity of AL will be considered forbidden until the party and its leaders' prosecution at the International Crime Tribunal (ICT) finishes.

"So, the clause 'any time' in CA's speech refers to a time after the AL's prosecution," the BanglaFact's finding report reads.
