Dhaka: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the latter’s office in the city’s Bashundhara.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, focusing on existing ties in the economic, political, commercial, and diplomatic sectors between China and Bangladesh. Both parties expressed optimism that the bilateral relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen in the future.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Zhang Jing, the Political Wing Director of the Chinese Embassy, Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Prof Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General and Head of Central Publicity and Media Wing Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, and Jamaat Amir’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Prof Dr Mahmudul Hasan.
