Chess Team Depart for Kazakhstan Tomorrow for World Cadet Championships

Dhaka: The Bangladesh team will depart for Kazakhstan tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon to take part in the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships, which begins on Thursday in Almaty, Kazakhstan.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, five players will participate in different age groups, as per a press release issued today. The players representing Bangladesh are Safayet Kibria Azaan in the open U-12 group, Sidratul Muntaha Nafi in the girls U-12 group, Farsat Hossain Ayyaan in the open U-10 group, woman candidate master Warisa Haider in the girls U-10 group, and Azaan Mahmood in the open U-8 group.



Bangladesh Chess Federation ad-hoc committee member and FIDE arbiter Mohammad Rahat Hossain will accompany the team as the head of delegate.
