Sylhet: Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Central Student Union (SUCSU) election will be held on the second week of November this year. The election commission will be formed within two to three days. Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice Chancellor Dr. AM Sarwaruddin Chowdhury announced this today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Chowdhury stated that student union elections are being conducted with active participation from students at every university. There is hope that the SUCSU election will follow this trend. The vice chancellor also mentioned that the semester final exams are expected to conclude on October 15, paving the way for the election in November.
SUCSU has been dormant for 28 years, with the last election taking place in 1997.
