Mirsarai: A man and his three-year-old daughter lost their lives, while four others suffered injuries in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Mirsarai upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victims were identified as Mohammad Golam Sarwar, aged 42, and his daughter Muskan. The tragic incident occurred as they were traveling from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar for a vacation. Their private car reportedly lost control and collided with a stationary covered van at approximately 8:30 am. Sarwar and Muskan were pronounced dead at the scene, and four other passengers sustained injuries.
Local fire service personnel from Mirsarai were deployed to the scene, where they recovered the bodies and handed them over to the highway police for further procedures. Among the injured, two individuals are receiving medical treatment at Mirsarai Upazila Health Complex, while the remaining two were transferred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for advanced care.
