Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi Celebrated with Religious Fervor in Rangpur City

Rangpur: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating both the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), was observed in Rangpur city today with religious devotion and solemnity, accompanied by a renewed call to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, various organizations including the Islamic Foundation, District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center, Ahle Sunnat Wale Jamaat and Mashaikhe Tariqat, Gausia Committee Bangladesh, and others organized diverse programs. These included colorful processions through the city streets and discussions to mark the occasion.



The Islamic Foundation’s Divisional Office held Quran recitations followed by milad mahfils, special munajats, and discussions in the city. Meanwhile, the District Shishu Academy hosted competitions in essay writing, Hamd, and Naat-e-Rasul for children, distributing prizes to winners at an auditorium function.



A subsequent discussion was held at the Public Library ground, chaired by Peer Saheb of Barkotia Durbar Sharif Peer-e Tariakt Shah Ahammad Sayeed Ahammadi. Peer Saheb of Keranipara Nasirabad Darbar Sharif Awlade Rasul (PBUH) Hazrat Syed Shamshul Haque Babu Huzur participated as the chief guest. Other notable speakers included Khatib of Rangpur Court Jam-e-Mosque Alhaj Moulana Md Hafizul Islam, Imam of Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque Hafez Moulana Mohammad Tazul Islam, Alhaj Md Akbar Ali, and Shah Sufi Md Zaker Ali.



Shaykhul Hadith Allama Dr Mohammad Afzal Hussaine led a milad and doa mehfil, offering munajats for the continued peace and prosperity of the country, its citizens, and the global Muslim community. Additionally, a milad and doa mehfil followed by a discussion and special munajats were held at the District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center.



Speakers emphasized that following the Prophet’s (PBUH) example transforms individuals and ensures them a place in Jannatul Firdous in the afterlife. They urged adherence to the ideals of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), who illuminated the world with purity.



The day was further marked by Quran recitations, milad mahfils, discussions on Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), and special prayers in all city mosques.
