BCB Announces Election Commission for Board of Directors Polls

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has formed a three-member election commission to oversee its upcoming Board of Directors Election. This announcement comes as the BCB gears up for its election process, ensuring a structured and fair election.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mohammod Hossain, a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, has been appointed as the chief election commissioner. Joining him on the commission is Md. Sibgat Ullah, BPM, PPM, who is the Additional Inspector General of Police and the head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Additionally, the executive director (Joint Secretary) of the National Sports Council has been named as an election commissioner, as detailed in a press release from the BCB.



BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul previously mentioned that the election is anticipated to take place in the first week of October. However, the exact date will be confirmed by the newly appointed election commission.
