Dhaka: The National Consensus Commission convened a meeting today to finalize and discuss strategies for implementing the July National Charter, 2025. Held at the commission’s office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the meeting focused on reviewing suggestions and recommendations from political parties on the charter’s execution.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the commission considered opinions submitted by various parties during the session. These contributions will guide the next steps, including a planned meeting with experts to refine the implementation process.
Presided over by Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, the meeting saw the attendance of Commission members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, Dr. Md. Ayub Mia, and Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Manir Haidar.
The Consensus Commission has previously engaged with 28 political parties through informal meetings, seeking input on the charter’s implementation methods. So far, feedback has been gathered from 26 parties, indicating widespread engagement and interest in the charter’s objectives.
