Naogaon: A man was killed after being run over by a train in Raninagar upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Babu Pramanik, 55, son of late Shamsher Pramanik of Shimulia Uttarpara village in Naogaon Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 9 am at Raninagar Railway Station when the Chilahati-bound Titumir Express train from Rajshahi hit Babu while he was crossing the rail track. Raninagar Railway Station Master Abdul Khalek stated that he died on the spot.
Santahar Railway Police Station Sub-Inspector Mahfuz confirmed the matter.
