TCB to Resume Distribution of Essential Commodities in Chattogram

Chattogram: The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to recommence the sale of essential commodities through mobile truck units at 25 locations across Chattogram, starting Sunday. This initiative aims to provide affordable essential goods to low-income groups following a three-month hiatus.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the TCB Chattogram Regional Office has revealed that the corporation will offer daily necessities at subsidized rates to assist low-income individuals. The sales will be conducted openly across various points in the city.

Smart Family Cardholders will be eligible to purchase commodities at reduced prices. They can buy up to five kilograms of rice at Tk 30 per kg, two liters of soybean oil at Tk 100 per liter, two kilograms of lentils at Tk 60 per kg, and one kilogram of sugar at Tk 70. The total expenditure for these items will amount to Tk 540, as per TCB sources.
