Dhaka: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) director Maj Gen (retd) Mohammad Quamruzzaman today highlighted the benefits to investors and the capital market if listed companies adhere to post-listing rules and regulations.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Quamruzzaman emphasized the importance of maintaining investor trust through consistent compliance with listing conditions, which he described as responsible corporate behavior. He noted that while an initial public offering (IPO) marks a company's entry into the stock market, it must continue to adhere to specific rules and policies thereafter. These measures aim to ensure transparency, accountability, and good corporate governance among listed companies.

Quamruzzaman made these remarks at a certificate distribution ceremony marking the end of a three-day training workshop titled 'Continuing Listing Requirements Post IPO' at the DSE Training Academy. He pointed out that both domestic and foreign investors assess various aspects of a company, such as financial reports, regular annual general meetings, fiscal accounts, and quarterly accounts, before deciding to invest.

The event also featured speeches from Associate Professor of the Dhaka University Finance Department Mohammad Salauddin Chowdhury and Deputy General Manager of the DSE Training Academy Syed Al Amin Rahman.
