Dhaka: The Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce its monetary policy statement (MPS) on Thursday for the first half of the financial year 2025-26. BB Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur will unveil the MPS during a press conference at the central bank headquarters, according to a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the governor will also address journalists about the impacts of the current MPS, focusing on its role in managing inflation, facilitating the inflow of private sector credit, and boosting economic growth. The event will also be attended by Deputy Governors, the head of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the chief economist, and other officials from Bangladesh Bank.
