Dhaka: As part of the month-long July revival programme marking the anniversary of the July Uprising, the Cultural Affairs Ministry will organize a series of events, including a film screening, performance of July songs, and a drone show, at the Central Shaheed Minar premises at 6 pm tomorrow.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event will commence with the national anthem, followed by the screening of a TV commercial produced by the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, highlighting the martyred women of July. The official handout further elaborates that the films ‘You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad’, ‘July Women’, and ‘July Bishad Sindhu’, all produced by the Cultural Affairs Ministry, will be shown during the event.
The programme will include remembrances dedicated to the women from the July martyr families and the female fighters of the uprising. Artistes such as Sayan, Parsa Mahzabin, and Elita Karim, along with bands like Ella La La, F Minor, and Samageet, are set to perform during the event.
Following the July songs, attendees will witness a drone show centered around the themes of the July Uprising and Prelude. The event will conclude with the symbolic echo of resistance from the July girls, resonating from various halls of Dhaka University.
Women, particularly teachers and students from schools, colleges, and both public and private universities, are especially encouraged to participate in this commemorative event.
