Feni: A two-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Mamarizpur village under Daganbhuiyan upazila of the district on Sunday morning. The deceased was Washir, son of Khaled Sinha Russell, a resident of the village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police and family sources reported that Washir was playing by the side of a pond near their house around 10 am when he suddenly slipped into the pond water and drowned. He was quickly rescued and sent to Daganbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
