Dhaka: The final round of the national volleyball competition, featuring the 30th men’s and 25th women’s events, is set to kick off at the Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital tomorrow (Thursday).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Faruque Hasan, the president of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and board of trustee chairman of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, is anticipated to inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest. The competition, organized by BVF, will see participation from ten men’s teams divided into three groups and six women’s teams split into two groups over the course of five days.
In the men’s section, Group A consists of teams from the Power Development Board, Dhaka, Kushtia, and Rajshahi districts. Group B includes the Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan, and Bogura district teams. Group C features the Bangladesh Air Force, Titas Gas and Transmission, and the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party.
For the women
‘s section, Group A is composed of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, and teams from Rajshahi and Jashore districts. Group B includes teams from the Bangladesh Police, Chattogram, and Satkhira districts.
