Dhaka: The outgoing German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Achim Tr¶ster, lauded the people of Bangladesh for their enduring dedication to democratic values, national development, their resilience, and sacrifices in the pursuit of freedom and shared prosperity. He made these remarks during a farewell call on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at the foreign ministry.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Tr¶ster’s role in strengthening the longstanding and multifaceted bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Germany. He conveyed particular gratitude for Germany’s steadfast support to Bangladesh’s Interim Government and its ongoing reform initiatives.
The meeting featured constructive exchanges on a wide range of regional and global issues of mutual concern, reaffirming both countries’ shared commitment to international peace, security, and sustainable development.
