Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation today revealed a 26-member Bangladesh national football team preliminary squad for the two upcoming home matches next month. Bangladesh is set to play a FIFA Tier-1 International friendly match against Bhutan on June 4 and the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers against Singapore on June 10. Both matches will be held at the National Stadium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh preliminary squad includes players from various positions. The goalkeepers are Mitul Marma, Md Sujon Hossain, and Mehedi Hasan Srabon. The defenders include Md Shakil Ahad Topu, Md Jahid Hasan Shanto, Md Rahmat Mia, Md Isa Faysal, Taj Uddin, Tariq Raihan Kazi, Topu Barman, and Md Saad Uddin.
The midfielders selected are Md Ridoy, Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee, Sohel Rana, Md Mojibor Rahman Jony, Shekh Morsalin, Jamal Bhuyan, Hamza Chowdhury, and Shamit Shome. The forwards named in the squad are Fahamedul Islam, Md Foysal Ahmed Fahim, Rakib Hossain, Md Sahariar Emon, Mohammad Ibrahim, Al Amin, and Sumon Reza.
The squad announcement comes as Bangladesh prepares to enhance its performance in international competitions, starting with these crucial home matches.
