7th National Surfing Competition Set to Make Waves at Kolatoli Beach

Dhaka: The 7th National Surfing Competition is ready to kick off this Friday, May 30, at the scenic Kolatoli sea beach in Cox’s Bazar. This much-anticipated two-day event is set to bring together surfing enthusiasts from across the nation.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event will be inaugurated by their managing director, Mahbub Morshed, who will serve as the chief guest. The inauguration will also be attended by Mahbubur Rahman, the president of the Cox’s Bazar district press club, and Md Alauddin, the member secretary of the district sports association, who will both be present as special guests.



The competition will see nearly 150 surfers competing in both men’s and women’s categories. The event is organized by the Bangladesh Surfing Association, which has promised cash awards for those finishing in the top three positions in each category. In addition to the national competitors, there is also an event scheduled specifically for foreign participants, adding an international dimension to the competition.
