Govt. Appoints 162 Officers from 43rd BCS Exam

Dhaka: The government has appointed 162 officers under the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations across various cadres.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a public administration ministry gazette notification announced that these appointments would be recognized retroactively to maintain the seniority of the officers alongside their original batch mates. The notification emphasized that while their perceived seniority would be upheld from the date their batch joined, this would not translate into any arrear financial benefits for the 162 officers.

The newly appointed officers will receive salaries according to the National Pay Scale of 2015, ranging from Tk 22,000 to Tk 53,060 at the entry level. Among the appointed officials, 24 were assigned to the administration cadre, one to the foreign service, 15 to the agriculture sector, 65 to general education, seven to police service, five to fisheries, four to information, 10 to livestock, one to roads and highways, two to public health, one to railways, three to cooperatives, one to audit and accounts, four to tax, three to customs and excise, three to food, with the remainder distributed across other cadre services.
