Dhaka: The three-day ‘Dhaka University Literature Festival 2025’, organized by the ‘Dhaka University Literature Society’, is currently underway at TSC Payra Chattar. The festival, which began on Monday, has transformed the area into a bustling hub of literary and entrepreneurial activity.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an ‘Entrepreneur Fair’ is a key feature of the festival, where university students showcase and sell their products. Among the offerings are handmade pies and leather bags, crafted by students in their own factories. The fair comprises 25 stalls, each presenting a unique array of products, contributing to a vibrant marketplace atmosphere.

Entrepreneurs, such as Mohammad Nowfel from the university’s Arabic Department, are actively engaging with visitors at food stalls. Nowfel shared with BSS that the festival has fostered a lively environment at TSC, with product sales performing well. He emphasized the importance of such fairs for university students embarking on small business ventures.

Visitor Sohan Iqbal, a student of the Department of International Relations, expressed his appreciation for the festival, noting that it offers a unique convergence of literature and young entrepreneurial ideas. He enjoyed purchasing books and sampling various foods, describing the experience as thoroughly enjoyable.

The festival is not only attracting university students but also participants from various colleges and other universities. The event will culminate tomorrow with a closing ceremony featuring discussions and cultural performances.
